The General Manager, National Production Services is a senior leadership role in the Bureau. As a member of the Bureau’s Senior Leadership Team, the General Manager will lead multidisciplinary teams of meteorological, hydrological, and climatological specialists delivering impact and value to the Bureau’s customers, partners and stakeholders.
- provide overall national leadership and coordination of hydrological, meteorological and climatological decision support services delivered by the Bureau
- lead the Bureau's national production capability delivered by meteorological, hydrological, and climatological specialists in Melbourne and Brisbane
- provide quality assured and controlled 24/7 national meteorological, hydrological and climatological guidance, the national weather narrative and national situational awareness, as well as coordinating the national operational response
- collaborate with the Bureau's training centre to ensure appropriate training, learning and competency development for staff in the Group to ensure the Bureau’s capabilities remain of global standing.
