**The Role**
The National Seafood Manager - Commercial will be responsible for identifying and driving national buying opportunities in the fresh and frozen seafood segments of PFD.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Management of national Seafood category
- Management of national Frozen and Fresh Seafood category
- Management of contracts and strategic partnerships
- Management of supplier pricing, trading terms, rebates, KPI’s, promotional activity
- Category management, brand assets, product range
- Development and execution of procurement strategies
- Identification of profit improvement initiatives
- Provide leadership and direction to internal stakeholders and sales teams.
- Providing key market information on raw material supply, product availability, trend analysis, market updates and pricing.
- Focus on growing sales and margin, management of key seafood accounts.
- Source products and pricing for national tenders.
- Project management of key seafood initiatives and projects
**Key Competencies, Skills and Qualifications**
- Experience in a purchasing environment
- Experience in effective decision making and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship building skills
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Accurate, and have an attention to detail.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate at all levels.
- Ability to develop relationships with key stake holders (specifically with Suppliers, Customers, General Managers, PFD Group Leaders, Employees).
- A strong understanding of operations, production, supply chain of the Seafood industry.
