Collar Group has been retained by one of our National Key Accounts to source a Workshop Manager to join their business to manage the companies retail workshop which provides in-house tyre, rim and wheel service to passenger vehicles, trucks and buses.
- $90k + Superannuation
- Monday to Friday 38 per week
- May be required to work the occasional Saturday

- Located in Kewdale

The purpose of the Workshop Manager role is responsible for managing the quoting, fitting operations and invoicing of the retail workshop at the Kewdale facility. The retail workshop fits passenger, truck and bus tyres to rims up to 24inch and fits wheels to vehicles. It provides wheel alignments, wheel balancing and puncture repairs. The Retail Manager leads the team of retail tyre fitters to complete all work at high levels of quality. They are also responsible for ensuring the workshop operates in a way that maximises the safety of staff and customers at all times.

WHAT THE ROLE ENTAILS:
**Quoting**
- Respond to requests for quotations for tyres, wheels and fitting in a timely manner
- Research market costs and selling prices, negotiation of purchase price with supplier and adopting the companies pricing guidelines to prepare a quote
- Provide quotations verbally or in writing, as requested by the customer

**Procurement**
- Determine tyre, rim and accessory availability for scheduled works
- Procure tyres from existing stocks or by ordering from suppliers in a timely manner

**Scheduling**
- Schedule the works in the retail bay to meet customer and the companies service expectations
- Ability to manage ad hoc service requests while maintaining agreed timeframes for scheduled customer work

**Workshop Management**

In conjunction with the Retail Leading Hand, provide a complete assessment and fitting service

including:

- Tyre analysis
- Fitting tyres to rims
- Wheel balancing
- Fitting wheels to vehicles
- Wheel alignment
- Puncture repairs

**General housekeeping**
- Ensure all tools and machinery are operated as designed and appropriate care is taken when handling tools to ensure damage is minimized.
- Ensuring the workshop and all work areas are clean, neat and tidy and free from safety

hazards.

**Safety**
- Lead the retail team to ensure the workshop operates in a way that maximises the safety of staff and customers
- Lead the development of safety policies and procedures as they relate to the retail workshop
- Continuously improve work practices to minimize the possibility of injury to staff and customers

**Sales Invoicing**
- Ensure customers are invoiced for work completed in the retail workshop in an accurate and timely manner
- Processing payments for cash sales

WHAT CAN WE EXPECT FROM YOU?
- Generally good level of physical fitness
- C and HR class Drivers License
- Forklift License
- Motor Vehicle Repairers Certificate - Tyre Repairers License
- Intermediate skill level in Microsoft 365 suite
- Ability to lead a small team in a fast paced workshop environment
- Sound written and verbal communication
- Ability to think strategically and contribute to the broader business as part of the leadership team and strong customer service orientation
- Ability to lead an unskilled team to create a safe working environment
