**About the role**
We are seeking an experienced Workshop Manager to join our Perth team. This is a high-impact role and a critical role. It links Workshop / Technical teams with the Projects Delivery and Engineering team and ensures that the work is executed and delivered on time, to budget, and to quality standards. The Workshop Manager is responsible for managing and leading a team of people in allocating workloads and managing the day-to-day operations in the workshop. The role also coordinates resources and liaises with internal and external stakeholders to ensure work is delivered on time, to budget, and to quality standards.
**Key Duties & Responsibilities**
- Effectively manage the productivity of employees.
- Manage service schedules and plans.
- Review output of work, ensuring quality standards are met.
- Ensure service work is completed in line with customer requirements and communicated deadlines.
- Drive improvements to increase operational efficiency.
- Development of staff.
- Coordinate safety and risk management activities to maintain a safe workplace.
- Liaise with other internal customer departments to ensure customer needs are met.

**Skills, qualifications, and experience**
- Minimum of 10-15 years experience in Manufacturing, O&G, or Mining industries
- Relevant trade qualifications - Mechanical, Hydraulic Fitter, Heavy diesel mechanic, etc
- Proven track record in managing and leading high-performing teams
- Demonstrated financial and commercial acumen
- Solid understanding of the Mechanical/Hydraulics industry
- Ability to drive cultural change through a wide group of employees.
- Tertiary Qualification in Business or Management is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong team player, with a flexible and positive attitude
- Basic to moderate PC skills (MS word, excel, and inhouse ERP system)
- Have a current driver's license
- Have a current forklift ticket
