Tertiary qualified in Accounting / Finance, Quantity Surveying or Construction Management, along with 8+ years’ experience leading the Commercial Management of Projects Teams undertaking a mix of New Build, Building Minor Repairs and Major Upgrades within Commercial, Leisure, Federal Government, State Government, Airports and Tertiary Education or similar large diverse portfolios.

**Base Criteria**

Ideally degree-qualified in Accounting / Finance, Quantity Surveying or Construction Management along with a strong understanding of the commercial delivery and financial reporting of Facilities Management Minor Works and Capital Investment Projects.

**Outline Duties**
Support and manage the Projects Team from an over-arching and commercial focus in their effective delivery of minor works or refurbishment projects as well as Capex projects across a diverse property portfolio, providing key leadership and direction to staff and contractors.

You will be ultimately responsible for ensuring the Commercial and Financial viability, Labour Forecasting as well as managing a team of Projects staff and senior project managers ensuring the safe, efficient and effective delivery of multiple concurrent building upgrades, capital investment works, and minor projects in accordance with the Building Code of Australia, Statutory Compliance and Industry Best Practice.

**Skills and Attributes**
- Over 10 years’ industry experience, you will have gained at least 8 years Commercial Project Management experience within an organisation delivering Minor and Capital Works from $50K to $15M to a mix of multi-site premises.
- You will have excellent Project Management Financial Reporting, Predictive Modelling and Analysis skills, able to lead a team of senior project managers and staff.
- Prior experience working within the Projects Division of a large company working across the Commercial Office, State & Federal Government, Shopping Centre and Tertiary Education sectors.
- An excellent communicator, with strong English language skills, you will provide clear and concise instructions, management and direction to direct staff, consultants and contractors; while liaising internally at Director and Board-level.
- Highly-developed conceptual and analytical skills, including the ability to interpret and advise on capital works, labour forecasts, variations (cost/benefit), statutory reporting and programme management to P&L.
- Engaging personality and strong presentation skills - you will be able to network and lead discussions at an executive level, while still working with a variety of interested parties / stakeholders of varying backgrounds and technical awareness.
