**JOB TITLE: Sheetmetal Trades Worker**

**PURPOSE**

To facilitate the installation of mechanical ductwork to construct and develop air handling systems in commercial and industrial projects. Marks out, shapes, forms and joins sheetmetal and other materials to make products and components.

**LOCATION**

The position will be based at 11/29 Governor Macquarie Dr Chipping Norton NSW 2170

**REPORTING TO**

The position reports to Construction Manager

**QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS**
- Relevant qualification at the level of a Certificate III or higher, **OR** at least 3 years of relevant work experience
- Construction Safety card
- EWP/Yellow card
- Previous team management experience
- Previous experience in coordinating with other trades on site
- Ability to operate machinery and electrical tools on-site

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Analysing blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine job, material and equipment requirements
- Selecting metal stock, such as stainless steel, galvanised iron, mild steel, aluminium and copper, and checking sizes, gauges and other dimensions of metal stock against specifications
- Marking out metal stock with reference points and lines, using templates, gauges and other measuring instruments
- Cutting metal stock along guidelines using hand and power shears, guillotines and drills
- Fitting and assembling components into final products by welding, riveting, brazing and otherwise joining
- Finishing products by polishing, filing, sanding and cleaning assembled products
- Repair damaged sheetmetal products and components
- On-site assembly and installation, of sheetmetal products
- Taking and sketching site measures on-site

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $71,000.00 - $73,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Sydney NSW: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Manufacturing & Utilities Occupations: 1 year (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)
