About the role

We are looking for an experienced Welder / Sheetmetal & Metal Fabricator to join our team at East West Engineering in Brookvale, NSW. This is a full-time role where you will play a key part in the fabrication and manufacturing of high-quality metal products for our diverse range of clients.

What you'll be doing

  • Perform welding, cutting, bending and assembly of metal components to fabricate finished products
  • Interpret engineering drawings and relevant documentation
  • Operate a variety of metalworking equipment including welding machines, guillotine, press brake, metal punch, band saw, drills, etc.
  • Ensure all work is completed to a high standard of quality and safety
  • Collaborate with the production team to meet project timelines and deadlines
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and suggest solutions

What we're looking for

  • Formal qualifications in Welding, Sheetmetal/Metal Fabrication or a related trade
  • Significant experience as a Welder, Sheetmetal Worker or Metal Fabricator, ideally in a manufacturing environment
  • Proven ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Competent in the use of a range of metal fabrication equipment and machinery
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
