About the role
We are looking for an experienced Welder / Sheetmetal & Metal Fabricator to join our team at East West Engineering in Brookvale, NSW. This is a full-time role where you will play a key part in the fabrication and manufacturing of high-quality metal products for our diverse range of clients.
What you'll be doing
- Perform welding, cutting, bending and assembly of metal components to fabricate finished products
- Interpret engineering drawings and relevant documentation
- Operate a variety of metalworking equipment including welding machines, guillotine, press brake, metal punch, band saw, drills, etc.
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard of quality and safety
- Collaborate with the production team to meet project timelines and deadlines
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and suggest solutions
What we're looking for
- Formal qualifications in Welding, Sheetmetal/Metal Fabrication or a related trade
- Significant experience as a Welder, Sheetmetal Worker or Metal Fabricator, ideally in a manufacturing environment
- Proven ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Competent in the use of a range of metal fabrication equipment and machinery
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
