To this end, they are currently on the search for an experienced operator to join their team as an OHS Coordinator.
If successful, for this role you will be required to:
- To ensure that the facility is operating safely, efficiently, and profitable.
- Overseeing all aspects of the plant's operations, including production, maintenance, safety, and quality control.
- Work closely with the Site Manager over one or more sites to keep track of works.
- Manage inductions and maintenance of relevant safety registers & permits.
- Observe tasks, identify hazards, assess risks, and develop real world practical solutions.
- Investigate incidents, develop corrective actions, and monitor for effectiveness.
- Conduct daily site safety walks and deliver weekly safety reports.
To be successful in this role, you will need the following skills and attributes:
- A relevant tertiary qualification.
- A minimum of 12 months in a safety specific role.
- Ability to think ahead and identify hazards before they occur and to address those with real world practical solutions that work for all stakeholders.
- Excellent communicate and relationship building skills with both management staff and trades.
- A high level of professional and personal integrity
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to produce complex documents such as SWMS and Incident Reports to a high standard.
- Proficient in computer basics and software such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
