**Position description**:
We seek an enthusiastic staff member to join our fast-paced administration area of the histology department. you will be an essential team member, and your responsibilities will include performing a wide range of histology administrative tasks as per the following:

- Troubleshooting - investigating and amending reports, calling surgeries, doctors and theatres regarding patient details, sites, missing specimens, missing labels, missing dictation and incorrect sites, as well as adding comments regarding discrepancies and incorrect details
- cross-checking the pending list, outstanding list, unallocated list, late list and locating un-imaged forms
- dealing with sending away of fresh samples, when required
- Consultations - booking in second opinions into the system and assigning to the correct pathologist, as well as ‘copy to’ doctors
- Phone calls - taking and making inbound and many outbound calls, as well as taking messages accordingly, when required
- MDTS billing - booking in cases into the system to bill to Medicare
- Data entry - adding information to the system and spreadsheets
- Miscellaneous admin tasks - filing and scanning of documents and papers

- Experience in administrations role/s or similar to position description
- Ability to work full-time hours, Monday to Friday, from 9am-5pm
- Excellent phone manner and office computer skills
- Attention to detail and good time management skills
- Team player with the ability to work unsupervised
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
