**About the role**:
This is an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic Support Service officers to join our vibrant Specimen Reception Area (SRA) in Macquarie Park. You will be an essential team member, and your responsibilities will include the following:

- Unpacking and coding of diagnostic samples in our fast-paced pre-analytical area, before they are analysed in the Laboratory

This is a full-time evening position, from 4 pm to 12midnight, and attracts a 15% loading. (Secure onsite parking is available). We offer a supportive and learning environment, with the opportunity for additional remuneration based on performance.

To be considered for this position, the applicant should have a medical background or related field, medical science graduates are encouraged to apply.

with possible progression to technical areas in the Laboratory after one year. We are looking for the following:

- A hard-working, motivated and reliable individual with a strong work ethic
- Someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is a team player, with the ability to work independently
- An individual with strong attention to detail, good time management skills and excellent communication skills
- Strong computer literacy would also be an advantage
- Previous laboratory experience would be advantageous, but not essential
