**Position description**
We seek an enthusiastic Laboratory Aid to join our vibrant Histology team in Macquarie Park. You will be an essential team member, and your responsibilities will include the following:
Processing and distribution of processed specimens to technicians and other staff
Recording and logging of samples from different machines
Ongoing maintenance of laboratory machines, tasks including lifting heavy consumables (approximately 10kg)
Maintaining a clean and tidy workspace.
Other laboratory tasks as required.
We are proud to say we have a learning and supportive environment therefore, experience and qualifications are optional. Personal Protective Equipment and training will be provided. We are looking for the following:
Open to work 38 hours a week Monday to Friday from 5pm to 1am.
A hard-working, motivated individual with a strong work ethic
Thrives in a fast-paced environment with good time management skills
Team player with the ability to work unsupervised
Some level of repeated heavy lifting.
