**Position description**:
We seek an enthusiastic Laboratory Aide to join our vibrant Specimen Reception Area in Port Macquarie. You will be an essential team member, and your responsibilities will include the following:

- The role will requires a person willing to multi-skill in numerous areas
- Including unpacking, coding and preparation of pathology specimens for testing, report sorting, data entry and results phoning.
- Picking up samples from Doctor’s surgeries and Nursing Homes.
- Other tasks as required by the Section Manager.

- Is available to participate in a rotating roster (various shifts between the hours of 8am-6pm, Monday to Friday) which may include Saturday morning shifts (between 8am - 1pm).
- A hard-working, motivated and reliable individual with a strong work ethic.
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment and is a team player
- Strong attention to detail with good time management skills and excellent communication skills
- A background and experience in Pathology Laboratory Services is preferred

A full (unrestricted) driver’s licence is required for driving company vehicles.
