About the role:
This is a fantastic opportunity for a collaborative and down to earth, social media & Digital Content Coordinator to join our small but growing team. This role will assist with the day-to-day running of the Women in Security Magazine, and coordinate the social media content across Linkedin, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter platforms for all of our brands by creating interesting digital content that speaks to our audience.
Our mission is to create, develop, and grow our brand by utilising connections, trends, and proven strategies to enhance our social media presence.
You will become the expert for all of our social accounts, providing guidance and assigning responsibilities as needed. If you love digital magazines, social media and working closely with a tight-knit team of creative individuals, this is the place for you.
About you:
You are articulate, creative, and competent at creating compelling digital content autonomously and you have a high attention to detail to the language, tone of voice and design with a piece of content.
You will have:
- Understanding of how to write SEO-friendly content
- Strong time management and organisation skills
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- High attention to detail to design and language
- Ability to manage your own workload, be resourceful with a can-do attitude.
- Experienced with Google Analytics, SocialPilot
- Use graphic design platforms like Canva to produce/create content for social media channels
- Strong knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Linkedin
- Must be able to write compelling stand out social lines to attract an audience
**Responsibilities**:
Here are some general responsibilities you’ll complete as our Digital Magazine & Social Media Content Coordinator:
Women in Security Magazine:
- Create and manage the production schedule for the publication including planning for mínimal overlaps in deadlines
- Reach out to various industry professionals, influencers, students, companies, and initiatives in the STEM/security industry to contribute to the magazine
- Source new contributors for the magazine by building connections in the community, researching the market, and optimising social media strategies
- Collaborate with the Publisher to determine Issue themes, special features and content ideas when required
- Research emerging trends, and initiatives in the industry to feature in the magazine
- Build and update the magazine flatplan
- Oversee proofreading procedures and copy editing
- Create schedules and enforce deadlines for sub-editor, graphic designer, and contributors
- Coordinate the editing process with the sub-editor to ensure content/articles are informative and structured properly
- Correct any errors in the writing mechanism after the post-edit, as well as rewrite sections of copy to make it coherent if necessary
- Frequently liaise with contributors to ensure submissions and approvals are completed on deadlines
- Work with the graphic designer to ensure content and ads are designed in an appealing way and structured correctly
- Research educational resources including podcasts, books, blogs, and free training courses to include in 4 different sections of the magazine
- Assist in evaluating the finalised copy of the magazine before publishing
- Establish and foster community and contributor relationships
- Create marketing and engagement strategies post-publishing
Social Media Channels:
- Plan, create, manage, and monitor the social media strategy to increase brand awareness, and improve marketing efforts and sales
- Schedule content/posts and maintain 4 accounts on social media channels (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter) for Source2Create and the Women in Security Magazine brand
- Plan and post Women in Security Awards or any other content required on Source2Create's Youtube account
- Use social media marketing software like SocialPilot to publish & schedule content, get insights/analytics into account performance and optimise marketing strategy
- Staying on top of which social media tools/software’s could be useful for the business
- Work with the external graphic designer to create templates and social media collateral as needed
- Interact with users and respond to social media messages, inquires and comments to create a strong network and community
**Salary**: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
