Downer has been appointed as the head contractor to deliver Queensland Train Manufacturing Program (QTMP), the largest investment in new rollingstock in Queensland history. Design, build, and maintenance of 65 brand new trains, design and build of a manufacturing facility on Fraser Coast of Queensland, design and build of a train depot, and a huge boost to local manufacturing and supply chain - a true legacy to be created for Queensland.
- Actively participate as a member of the QTMP Project Management Team
- Leveraging best practice and technology, establish and maintain structured processes for gathering, analysing, reporting and communicating performance data for the project
- Lead the Project governance, risk and reporting processes to ensure consistent standards and approaches are established across all areas of the project
- Proactively identify project risks and opportunities, and ensure consistent risk monitoring, analysis and reporting for project risk management
- Manage Project Visual Management Centres and continuously develop its framework
- Provide coaching, training and development to other members of Project Controls Team to continually develop skills, experience, knowledge and performance with respect to governance, risk management, and reporting

**To be successful in this role you will have**:

- Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline
- Proven success in a similar role within the Construction or Rollingstock Manufacturing industry
- Broad project controls experience across planning/scheduling, cost control and reporting essential
- Experience in construction across a wide breadth of industries highly desirable, including construction, transport infrastructure, or utilities.
- Well-development exposure to industry best practice, including use of current tools and systems for planning and cost control
- Experience delivering, or supporting delivery, of multi-discipline, EPC projects with self-perform elements, in a project controls capacity
