**About the Contract**
**Ventia** has been selected to Operate and Maintain the Central Package of the **North East Link** Project - **Victoria's biggest road project** - following completion of Design and Construction. Ventia has a very significant role working with all stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of the project.

The Central Package will be delivered as a Public Private Partnership and provides three-lane twin tunnels that will close the missing link in Melbourne’s freeway network from the M80 Ring Road to an upgraded Eastern Freeway, reducing journey times and diverting heavy vehicles away from local roads. Up to 135,000 vehicles will use North East Link every day, reducing congestion in the north-east while maintaining local roads.

**About the Role**
Reporting to the Services Director, the primary purpose of Civil Design Reviewer will be to monitor construction activities to proactively identify any challenges concerning operations, maintenance, and lifecycle services.

The** Civil Design Reviewer **will also be required to**:

- Conduct timely review of Civil/Structural design packages in accordance with responsibilities matrix
- Ensuring the teams adherence to the plan is required to ensure O&M input is processed and strong, effective relationships are maintained between all parties
- Attend meetings and be the conduit between the Services team and D&C project staff
- Influence the design and construction activities for best long-term outcomes for O&M, while achieving O&M strategic goals and objectives
- Ensure O&M performance requirements are achievable during the O&M phase, reducing risk through design where possible
- Collaborate with other design reviewers and construction personnel to ensure successful O&M outcomes
- Recommend modifications to the design to enhance O&M outcomes
- Responsible for reviewing detailed design documentation to ensure O&M objectives are achieved
- Prioritise works to ensure comprehensive reviews and audits are completed within project timelines
- Undertaking regular detailed reviews of project performance/compliance with design and construction review processes
- Implementing processes to ensure all design review processes are met
- Ensuring design and construction review activities are executed in accordance with the Head Contract

**About** **you**
You will have degree in Engineering with extensive experience working in working in Highway/Bridge/Tunnel maintenance/management/construction projects accompanied with the following:

- Proven experience in the successful contributions of major transport infrastructure projects
- Ability to understand basic and intermediate engineering concepts
- Experience in the identification and management of commercial and contract risk
- Proven track record in successfully delivering individual outcomes and team resolutions
- Excellent negotiation and influencing skills
- Understanding of complex PPP contracts and interface agreements
- Sound knowledge and proven experience in an O&M technical role
