Join Gorman, Australia’s iconic fashion brand known for its bold prints, playful spirit, and celebrated artist collaborations. We’re on the lookout for a creative and technically skilled Textile Designer to bring energy and originality to our Kidswear collections while covering a maternity leave.

This is a full-time, fixed-term 6-12 month contract role based at our Abbotsford Head Office, offering the chance to work in a collaborative, creative and art-driven environment.

**Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities**
- Develop original and imaginative artwork for yardage, placement, and border prints, using a blend of digital, hand-drawn, and painted techniques.
- Interpret and bring to life seasonal print briefs alongside the kidswear and têxtile design team.
- Prepare detailed print specifications, scale guides, and production and screen printing files.
- Review and provide feedback on strike-offs and liaise directly with suppliers.
- Conduct print trend research, mood board development, and creative ideation.
- Respect and uphold the intellectual property of other artists, ensuring all work is distinct and aligned with Gorman’s unique aesthetic.

**What You'll Bring to the Team**
- 1-2 years of industry experience in têxtile design (experience in children’s or fashion prints a bonus).
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite and digital illustration, with a flair for innovation.
- A proactive, enthusiastic, and collaborative attitude—you enjoy bouncing ideas and working closely with your team.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple briefs in a fast-paced, seasonal calendar.
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Textile Design (or equivalent).
- Australian working rights are essential.
