**THE ROLE**
As part of our diverse team based in **Melbourne and Regional Victoria,** you’ll help make a positive impact on someone’s life every day. You’ll feel great satisfaction knowing your talent and hard work has a purpose.
The primary focus of this role is to provide early, timely and personal claims management and return to work service to injured workers and employers**. **It is also to proactively support the injured worker and employer through the recovery and return to work process.
This is a **full time, permanent** position based in **Central Highlands - covering Ballarat, Ararat, Hepburn, Golden Plains, Moorabool & Pyrenees.**
- You may be required to have certain inoculations such as flu/COVID-19 vaccination and q-fever due to government requirements._
**YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Provide workers’ compensation advice to stakeholders such as workers, employers and providers
- Deliver personalised face-to-face assistance to workers and employers
- Conduct community-based visits inclusive of but not limited to worksites or medical clinics on initial triage of a claim and at significant milestones during the life of a claim
- Proactively proceed with appropriate case management to achieve sustainable return to work and restoration to the community outcomes
- Assist in reviewing providers’ performance and consult with Provider / Return to Work Specialist where required.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
**ABOUT YOU**
- Desirable experience in Occupational Rehabilitation/Return to Work, Nursing, Allied Health or experience in Case Management
- Basic understanding of medical terminology
- Knowledge of the Victorian workers compensation (preferred)
- Effectively listen and understand the needs of the customer and what is important to them to enable their recovery and return to work
- Sound negotiation and influencing skills
- Current Unrestricted Victorian Drivers Licence
