**The Role**

The Principal Land Access will be responsible for leading the land access team on the negotiation of land access agreements with other mining tenement holders/applicants and pastoralists including conferring with internal and external stakeholders.

You will be the key driver for leading and coordinating engagement and negotiation with relevant internal and external stakeholders to obtain land access agreements as required

For this position you will be based at our HQ office on Osborne Park, and you will have the ability with joining a great team culture and further develop your career pathway.

**Key deliverables**:

- Provide advice to the business on land access, Warden’s Court, studies, projects and related negotiations and strategy across a portfolio of projects
- Supervise a small team, providing ongoing support and coaching to the team to enhance skills
- Identify opportunities for business improvement and recommend potential solutions
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders in respect of land access and contractual arrangements.
- Assist with the maintenance of other relevant Land Access databases
- Provide ad hoc land access and strategic advice as may be required by the Manager Land Access

**What you’ll bring to the team**
- Tertiary qualification in a related discipline such as law, planning, environment, geology, commerce or equivalent
- Excellent working knowledge of the WA Mining Act, Land Administration Act and related resources development legislation as it applies to the development and operation of mining projects in WA
- Strong experience in drafting of agreements and/or contract management, including tenement access agreements, Legal work
- Experience using Mineral Titles Online and Landgate
- Experience using Tengraph, ArcGIS or similar mapping systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated experience in engaging and negotiating with external stakeholders.
- Understanding of Aboriginal Heritage and Native Title legislation
- Great attention to detail and be confident to be in the detail.
- A proactive approach with outstanding interpersonal communication skills
- Advance Microsoft Excel skills
