**What will you do**:
As the Medical Science Liaison - Oncology, Lung Cancer, you'll play a pivotal role in channelling our scientific capabilities to make a positive impact on changing patients' lives. This role will be Melbourne based.
**Responsibilities include**:
- Develop peer-level relationships with medical and scientific experts, including Healthcare Professionals and other key external stakeholders involved in the management of lung cancer.
- Scientific leadership and discussion with key customers delivering scientific information
- Effectively identify, gather, analyse, synthesise and communicate relevant new knowledge and insights about the external environment to internal stakeholders
- Support the clinical trials team in start-up and recruitment for lung cancer clinical trials
- Participate in brand strategy, clinical development, strategic planning and internal projects based on customer perspectives
- Deliver disease area and product-specific training to internal stakeholders including commercial field force and clinical research associates
- Drive medical excellence for the business working closely with the medical manager and medical team to support execution of scientific strategy and lung cancer medical plan.
**Essential for the role**:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline (ex: Medicine, Pharmacy or disease related science) and/or extensive experience within the Medical Affairs function of the pharmaceutical industry
- Knowledge and relationships with relevant customer segments and market dynamics
- Demonstrated success in building strong external and internal relationships through strong communication, influencing and collaborative networking skills, along with self-driven motivation to strive and achieve
- Experience with basic research, drug discovery, drug development and KOL interactions.
- Demonstrated expertise in discussing scientific content and context to multiple audiences including external experts
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills and demonstrated project/team/cross-functional leadership
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills and ability to self-manage
- High level analytical and conceptual thinking
- Previous experience in lung cancer or oncology would be highly regarded
