**The Role**:
If you are strategically minded and work effectively with all levels of management, then this role is a chance to develop your leadership skills by indirectly overseeing a fleet of light and heavy vehicles and the various stakeholders utilizing them in the East Coast of Australia.
**Where you fit in**:
Reporting to the Contracts Manager within the Logistics Delivery Team, this position will reside in Shell’s Brisbane office working on a Monday to Friday work week. You will operate as an integral part of the Supply Chain function supporting the QGC asset (Upstream and Midstream) as well as a key member of the Contract Management Team (CMT) for company’s Fleet and other road transport contracts.
Functional support will be provided with resources and support through the Shell Supply Chain leadership network to ensure your success.
**What’s the role**:
Your role as the Transport & Fleet Lead for QGC is responsible for the light and heavy vehicles and associated maintenance, along with various improvement projects and opportunities.
- Provide visible Safety leadership and management of HSE arrangements across the services to deliver Goal Zero - No Harm, by maintaining a fleet that is safe, including use of safe technologies.
- Manage the overall performance of the fleet, with focus on asset availability, optimization of fleet and reduction in road exposure for QGC workers.
- Lead the operational and strategic planning including forecasting, cost control and regular performance reviews.
- Develop and lead the redesign and replacement project for the future of the QGC fleet, aligned to standards and specification requirements, the various business uses and contributing to Shell’s carbon reduction strategies.
- Continuously improve and optimize the Fleet and its use with the objective to introduce low carbon solutions and reduce the HSSE risk of driving exposure whist increase the fleet’s availability.
- Ensure vehicle availability is maximized and maintained in accordance with OEM procedures and all contractors and sub-contractors are operate in accordance with the standards and recommendations in the Shell Control Framework, Road Safety and Safety Together requirements.

**What we need from you?**
We are keen to hear from people who have fleet & technical logisticexperience, with a contract management and project management skill set, preferably within a similar Oil & Gas/ Transport/ Resources large scale business environment.
We’d hope to see as many of the following skills:
- Skilled in Contract Management, Negotiations and Strategies with the ability to driver performance from existing and new logistics contractors
- Project Management skills with the ability to manage fleet redesign and life cycle campaigns, from effective stakeholder management, visible planning and reporting to execution and roll out
- Strong demand planning understanding with a proactive approach to identifying and realizing opportunities within the existing Logistics network
- Skills in systems such as PowerBI and a strong understanding of data analysis
- Strong safety and people leadership
- Effective Business Partnership with the ability to establish and influence senior stakeholders both within Shell across multiple lines of business and externally with service providers
- Highly effective Continuous Improvement mindset to manage optimization and logistics safety and low carbon related solutions
This role will have a strong strategic focus on land transport management and involves understanding the business needs and requirements for QGC logistics. You will have a passion for customer focused roles with demonstrated strong stakeholder management skills, more specifically:
