Reporting to the Manager Environment and Sustainability, this role is responsible for the development and implementation of the EMS, environmental planning, and approvals across the organisation.

The purpose of this role is to provide specialist technical environmental advice to support the implementation and management of the Corporate Environmental Management Plan and Sustainability Strategy.

Whilst not limited to the following you will assume responsibility for:
- Providing specialist technical environmental advice in relation to projects, leases, licences, environmental studies, and audits.
- Review and develop EMS’s and guidelines for infrastructure projects.
- Conduct environmental audits of TasPorts sites and infrastructure projects.
- Ensure projects are managing in accordance with regulatory approvals and/or approved environmental management plans.
- Facilitate environmental approvals processes for projects.
- Project manage contaminated site assessments as required.
- Deliver internal environmental training.

Assist in the review of Environmental and Planning legislative updates and provide recommendations on changes to internal Environmental procedures because of legislative changes.
