**TasWater**
The purpose of the TasWater Capital Delivery Office (CDO) is to build the capability and capacity of TasWater to fulfil its customer promises for improved service levels by efficiently and effectively delivering an accelerated capital program of works.

The TasWater CDO will deliver:

- Opportunities for people to grow and develop
- Economic benefits and growth opportunities for local industry
- Improved safety outcomes
- Capacity and capability to transition the program back to TasWater post completion
- The necessary framework for emergent projects

**About the Role**

Support the Project Delivery Manager(s) to establish and implement the Work Package Environmental Management Plan(s) (WPEMP) for each Project and provide environmental advice and support to successfully deliver positive environmental outcomes

**Project Delivery**
- Support the Project Delivery Manager(s) to establish and implement the Work Package Environmental Management Plan(s) (WPEMP) in consideration of project specific environmental factors, environmental approvals, risk and opportunity and the CDO EMP and Environmental Management Sub-Plans.
- Review sub-contractors Environmental Management Plans, procedures, records and activities and provide advice in their implementation of CDO environmental management requirements.
- Support the Senior Environmental Advisor - Approvals and Compliance to identify and prepare applicable environmental approvals required to support compliant Project Delivery.
- Assist the Project Delivery and Health and Safety Team(s) in the preparation and maintenance of the HSE Risk & Opportunities Register.
- Implement the audit and inspection program to monitor all the activities set out in the EMPs for the project and maintain records of all monitoring activities undertaken.
- Provide environmental training and inductions on relevant environmental issues to CDO staff and sub-contractors.
- Support the investigation and reporting of environmental incidents and complaints to the CDO management.
- Undertake timely environmental performance reporting as required in the CDO EMP, WPEMP(s) and sub-contractor EMPs.
- Monitor and technically support all measures to avoid environmental penalties.
- Support continuous improvement in Safety, Environmental and Quality Standards.
- Other duties as required by the CDO Environmental Lead

**Qualifications and education requirements**

(Essential)
- Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Management or equivalent technical competency
- Considerable relevant construction, water utilities or similar Environmental Management experience
- Working knowledge of relevant environmental legislation
- Prior working experience in ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management Systems
- Current Driver’s License
- Auditing Experience
- Database, Word Processing and Spreadsheet skills

(Desirable)
- Site Environmental Management Green Card or equivalent
- Previous experience working within an Alliance arrangement/structure
