**Description**:
The Opportunity
As the Property Team Leader, you'll play a pivotal role in leading a dynamic Property Services Team to manage a diverse portfolio of properties. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the long-term sustainability of housing assets while meeting contractual, legislative, and operational requirements. This position offers the chance to drive strategic asset management initiatives, oversee critical maintenance activities, and contribute to continuous improvement in property management practices, all while fostering a high-performing team culture and ensuring positive outcomes for our residents.
What you’ll do
- Lead and manage the Property Services Team to deliver high-quality asset management services.
- Oversee maintenance activities and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Collaborate with national teams to standardise processes and improve operational efficiencies.
- Identify and mitigate risks to safeguard housing assets and ensure residents' wellbeing.
- Manage budgets and provide accurate financial oversight and reporting.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and team development.

You will bring a wealth of experience in asset and property management, with a proven ability to lead and inspire teams to deliver outstanding results. Your strategic mindset, coupled with your attention to detail in overseeing large property portfolios, ensures compliance with industry standards and legislative requirements. You excel in both operational and capital works management, driving successful outcomes through your strong stakeholder relationships, contractor management, and financial oversight. Your communication and problem-solving skills, combined with a deep understanding of the housing sector, make you an invaluable leader who can navigate complex challenges and deliver continuous improvements.
- Proven experience leading, mentoring, and motivating a team to achieve high-quality asset management outcomes.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing large property portfolios, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and legislation.
- Strong background in planning and delivering maintenance works and capital upgrades within scope, time, and budget.
- Skilled in contractor and supplier management, ensuring successful project delivery.
- Extensive experience in property, asset, and facility management, with a focus on residential portfolios.
- Excellent ability to prepare comprehensive management reports and evaluations.
- Strong understanding of the intersection between housing asset management and resident needs.
- Proven experience building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including government bodies.
- High-level communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.
- Tertiary qualifications in property, engineering, planning, architecture, or construction, or equivalent leadership experience in a similar role.
