**The role**:
The Clinical Technical Advisor is responsible for providing input in the planning, delivery and evaluation of statewide clinical informatics services and initiatives, as well as, providing advanced clinical and technical knowledge to support the translation of clinical needs to technical requirements for statewide digital healthcare solutions.

**In addition to this, you will be responsible for**:

- Providing guidance and understanding of how digital healthcare solutions (including ieMR) impacts on clinical workflow
- Translating clinical needs to technical requirements / products and translate technical limitations and methods back to a clinical language
- Assessing data and analytic products and ensuring solutions do not impact patient safety or clinical workflows and aligns with legislative requirements.
- Supporting the successful implementation of statewide data and analytic products by assessing and ensuring solutions do not impact patient safety or clinical workflows and aligns with legislative requirements
- Preparing and managing the successful implementation of practice change / innovation through effective change management
- Engaging and supporting Hospital and Health Services uptake of solutions through the development and delivery of training and education activities

Please note that this is a multidisciplinary position and will also be advertised as a Registered Nurse/Midwife (NG7). There is only position.

To be successful in the role, you will have demonstrated specialised level of knowledge and skills in complex, contemporary, clinical practice standards relating to statewide data and analytic products and use of digital hospital systems, as well as experience in advanced problem-solving and expert clinical judgement in relation to clinical informatics with a demonstrated ability to translate clinical needs to technical requirements.
