Normanhurst West Community Preschool is a small community preschool catering to 20-30 children per day through NSW school terms and is located in Thornleigh NSW. We are a unpack service open from 9am-2:30pm to children. We are a Child Safe Organisation committed to providing a child safe environment.

We are seeking a Part Time Educator to join our small community preschool. The position is a Fixed Term Contract starting Term 1 2025 to the end of term 4 2025, with potential ongoing work after the contract dependant on the preschool needs and availability.

The key responsibilities will involve supporting children with higher learning support needs including supporting a child on visit to an early intervention program, a really rewarding and rare opportunity. We are looking for someone who shares a passion for working with a small team to ensure our preschool is an inclusive environment for all children to participate.

The position is for 2 - 3 days a week, 5 hours a day. Flexibility is highly desirable to help out on other days if needed, however this role would be perfect for someone looking for school hours.

Paid down time during NSW school holidays. 7% above award wages.

This is a rare opportunity and a great opportunity to experience a preschool environment.

Essential Criteria for position consideration:

- Diploma in children's services, with minimum of 2 years experience working with children.
- First aid qualification
- Recent child protection refresher
- Excellent time management skills
- Approachable and confident to communicate with others
- Work in a small team
- Willing to attend scheduled paid staff meetings
- Physically fit to move furniture and equipment as we are a pack up service in a shared space.
