**Where you'll be working**:

- MHICU and PECC forms the Psychiatric Emergence Service at the Mater Mental Health Centre.
- MHICU is a 9 bed Mental Health Intensive Care unit and PECC is a 4-bed short stay mental health crisis unit.
- MHICU/PECC is fast paced, dynamic environment.
- You will be working within a supportive and collaborative multidisciplinary team bringing a psychosocial lense.

**About the role**:
The role works with a multidisciplinary team and as a social worker you will work independently in a fast-paced unit. The role has a family/Carer focus and works within the Family and Carer Mental Health Program taking a centre wide lead in family inclusive practice. As the senior social worker, you will take a lead with supporting level 1-2 social workers and the Department Head as needed.

You will be supported by the Department Head Social Work and regular clinical supervision. You will receive support and guidance through the Family/Carer Mental Health Program.

- You have high level social work assessment and intervention skills.
- You have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise competing demands.
- You are collaborative and flexible with the ability to respond to the changing clinical demands of the unit and department.

**Requirements**:

- Must hold as a minimum a bachelor degree in social work which provides eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers, or other qualification deemed equivalent by the employer.
