**In this role, you'll**:

- Perform maintenance and manual labouring tasks using plant and equipment and powered and non-powered hand tools
- Road maintenance activities may include, but not limited to, Sign Installations, line marking, school zone and marking installations, widening & barrier installs, enhanced road pavements, overtaking lanes and patching works.
- Work collaboratively with the team including Team Leaders and Works Supervisors to manage the day-to-day operations and tasks as well as resolve issues that may arise
- Travel throughout the region to attend worksites including camping away for up to 2 weeks at a time and scheduled night work when not camping away
- Keep up to date with WHS legislation and policies and procedures as it relates to minimising risk and keeping to safe work standards
- Work a 9-day fortnight roster

**About you**

We’re seeking a team-oriented worker who has an eye for detail and is used to working in similar environments.

You are a practical thinker, quick learner and great communicator who enjoys being physically active performing outdoor manual tasks involving the use of hand tools and equipment within a team setting.

You must hold the following qualifications:

- White Card
- Current driver licence
- Traffic Control Tickets - (Or willing to obtain before commencing)

While not essential, a truck driver licence would be highly considered

You must have previous experience as a Road Worker Grade 1 level or related civil construction experience.

You will live within 100km radius of the Waratah works depot and are prepared to work outside normal working hours, attend callouts, travel across the district and work away from home.
