**The Role**
The **Technical Asset Manager **forms part of the central business support area, Asset Management & Engineering Operations (AMEO). Using a flexible and adaptable approach the role is to provide timely and accurate delivery of the following key functions:
- Assist in the development of equipment maintenance strategies and processes for customer assets managed by BGIS, to provide variable maintenance delivery levels (best, good, compliance) so that service delivery can be optimised to efficiently meet differing customer needs and asset lifecycle expectations.
- Provide guidance on statutory and regulatory compliance as they relate to assets associated with the delivery of operations and maintenance services provided by BGIS to its customers.
- Interpret customer contract specifications into contract service line data as applicable to assets, for entry into BGIS asset management system, which enables compliant service delivery throughout the lifecycle of the contract.
- Assist in interpretation and ongoing development of hierarchies, categories, and associated asset master data within BGIS systems as it relates to assets, so asset maintenance requirements can be applied in a systemised manner. This includes coordination of asset information, maintenance scheduling and associated maintenance procedure task sheets.
- Provide functional expertise and support to bid planning and contract transition activities conducted as part of business development and onboarding process.
- Provide technical support to existing customer accounts in areas of asset compliance, strategies and data acquisition and maintenance.
- Assist in the development and delivery of new and enhancement of existing IT based asset management systems to ensure BGIS system capability achieves needs of the business and industry.
- Maintain and keep up to date BGIS’ central technical standards library and procedures documents.
- Research and report technical bulletins for distribution across client accounts where new engineering or compliance risks are identified or where changes to standards or statutory regulations occur.
**Skills & Experience**
- Knowledge and experience in the use of a Computerised Maintenance Management System knowledge (CMMS).
- Good understanding of assets and technical data with ability to document knowledge into asset data models.
- Proven ability in working within an integrated services and property model delivering a Property Management, Facilities Management, Project Management and Financial Management Services.
- Knowledge of ISO 55001 Asset Management System framework is desirable.
**Essential**
- Degree or Associate Diploma in relative engineering discipline highly desirable.
- Trade Certificate in relevant discipline such as fire, electrical, HVAC
- Holds current construction industry white card.
- Current NSW Driver’s License.
