**Daimler Trucks Geelong** are seeking a skilled Heavy Vehicle Technician/ Diesel Mechanic with strong leadership abilities to join us as our **Leading Hand**

In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for overseeing the diagnosis and repair of a wide range of heavy commercial vehicles. As the key support person for our technicians, you will carry out quality control checks on service repairs and provide hands on mentoring to the team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Technician seeking career progression. This is a permanent, full-time position offering a competitive hourly rate, overtime and efficiency bonuses

**About the Role**:

- Effective allocation of service and repair jobs to Technician
- Diagnosis and repair of a wide range of heavy vehicles
- Hands-on supervision and mentoring a team of Technicians and Apprentices
- Effective partnering with Service Advisors and Technicians during express assessments
- Carrying out quality control checks on service repairs conducted by Technicians
- Ensuring all work carried out is in accordance with manufacturer requirements for warranty

**About You**:

- Cert III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology
- Demonstrated experience with European, American or Japanese truck brands
- Strong leadership capabilities including ability to drive cohesion and productivity
- Process and compliance driven mindset, with a strong sense of responsibility and urgency
