**Position Purpose**

A rare opportunity to join the University of Wollongong security team who strive to provide excellence in safety, security and customer service. **Key Responsibilities**
- Provide a customer service approach to the University community
- Respond promptly to all incidents on campus
- Record and report security incidents
- Work well within an established and diverse team culture
- The ability to communicate effectively and professionally to students, staff and members of the public
- Perform foot and vehicle patrols of the campus grounds
- Utilise electronic security systems ie card access control and CCTV
- Provide security services at high profile events
- Ensure security of UOW buildings and assets

**Mandatory Qualifications**
- Current and applicable NSW 1A & 1C Security license in accordance with the Security Industry Act and associated Regulations of the state or territory you work.
- Current NSW First Aid Certification.
- Current NSW Driver Licence.
- 1 + years experience in a similar role.
- Australian/New Zealand citizen or permanent Australian resident or hold a visa that entitles you to work in Australia **(other than a student or working holiday visa)**:

- Ability to pass additional security clearances.
- Ability to pass a medical.
- NSW Working with Children Check - UOW Specific.
