**Job Description**:

Are you a forward-thinking Procurement professional, with a strong background in sourcing of direct materials, looking to join a global ASX listed blue chip organisation and take the next step in your career?
As part of the APAC Procurement team, your role will be to develop and execute timber spend sourcing strategies across the region to enable the delivery of value to the CHEP APAC business. A hybrid role based at our Macquarie Park office, this role reports directly to the Director, Procurement APAC.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Leading and managing the development of sourcing plans
- Proactively managing strategic supplier relationships
- Coordinating and executing strategies
- Setting up and maintaining vendor agreements
- Creating and managing risk management plans
- Developing high quality KPI’s to measure supplier performance
- Supporting strategic projects related to product development
- Actively participating in business planning and product development processes
- Procurement or Supply Chain or related qualifications preferred.
- Strong direct procurement experience in a Manufacturing or Supply Chain environment
- Ability to build strong relationships with suppliers
- Strong stakeholder management, influencing and negotiation skills
- A self-starter, curious and able to work autonomously at times
- Experience working with complex supply chains
- Sourcing experience in Timber or related industries, highly regarded.
Preferred Education
Bachelors - Business Administration/Management
Preferred Level of Work Experience
5 - 7 years
