**Job Description** About the role**
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Manager to join our high performing procurement team based in North Ryde. Reporting to the Head of Procurement, you’ll lead complex sourcing initiatives across a number of areas as well as project manage the Modern Slavery and ESG initiatives.
**Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities**:
Key areas of responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Lead end to end complex sourcing initiatives and manage ongoing category management
- Lead or play an influential role in the transition and implementation of a new commercial/supplier arrangement where required
- Clearly and effectively communicate recommendations based on detailed analysis concisely to the Head of Procurement and other senior stakeholders
- Performing detailed analysis to obtain an understanding of the category with the ability to formulate negotiation strategies
- Assist the Head of Procurement with reporting requirements and tracking of procurement benefits, Modern Slavery and ESG outcomes
- Determining category baselines through analysis and modelling using assumptions in the absence of relevant data
- Maintain and monitor compliance with policies and procedures for procurement and contracts across the business units including post implementation reviews
- Work with the Procurement team to ensure that all procurement initiatives are aligned to our ESG Strategy and be the Project Manager on implementation of Governance outputs
- Ensure that all Modern Slavery requirements and ESG commitments are embedded into the procurement processes
**Qualifications** About you**
- At least 3 years experience in Project Management, focused on Change Management / ESG and or Modern Slavery
- Advanced data analysis and reporting skills with the ability to present data in an accurate manner using necessary tools (e.g. PowerPoint)
- Strong understanding of end to end procurement processes
- Strong commercial acumen with ability to review, analyse and recommend commercial outcomes
- Strong communicator (written and verbal) with a high level of interpersonal skills to manage with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience in a retail environment is desirable but not essential.
- At least 5 years of experience in Procurement
- Tertiary qualifications in business or finance related discipline or equivalent experience in relevant field
