**About This Role**:
We are currently seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join our team for an immediate start on a Western Australia Perth based project.

The role is a Non-FIFO role based in Perth working on the MRWA Perth Metro road system.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

- Assist with coordinating the safe systems of work for processes involved for the project ensuring all activities are completed safely in line with the Company Workplace Health and Safety Management system and relevant legislation, Standards and Codes of Practice.
- Assist with the review and update of the Project WHS management plans, processes and procedures.
- Provide training, consultation, monitoring and governance to support invested stakeholders by ensuring all Client and WHS legislation and procedures are implemented and effective.
- Maintain and regularly review all Project Management Plans.
- Support and assist with the implementation and continual improvement of all company policies and procedures.
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with relevant stakeholders including, staff and project managers, clients and allied professionals
- Maintain professional standards whilst meeting company objectives in relation to, service quality, company reputation, WHS legislative requirements and standards
- Positively influence, and advise leaders and workers on health and safety requirements under Workplace Health & Safety legislation, and drive forward the agenda for positive health and safety change in the workplace.
- Maintain a sound knowledge of current legislation and standards.
- Provide advice, training, consultation, monitoring and governance for compliance to the Project Management team and workers in the field.
- Conduct scheduled site inspections and ensure identified hazards are closed out in a timely manner.
- Promote the Company Hazard Identification, Assessment and Risk Control (HIRAC) system through training and mentoring employees.
- As part of the Project Team, actively participate in the Project CRAW.
- As required, conduct incident investigations including ICAMS, ensuring implemented controls are reviewed and monitored for their effectiveness.
- Ensure the Emergency Response & Preparedness Plan is reviewed and tested for identified risks for each worksite situation.
- Participate in ISO & OFSC audits.
- Conduct Site Comprehensive Inspections.

***Essential Criteria**:

- A minimum of 5 years experience in WHS in Civil Construction.
- Cert IV in Workplace Health & Safety is a minimum requirement.
- ICAM or similar investigation training
- First Aid & CPR Certificate
- Current valid driver’s licence
- White Card
- High level of computer literacy, Word, Excel, Outlook, Project and PowerPoint
- Excellent safety, work ethics and communication skills
- Strong ability to work with others including clients, fellow workers, workers in the field and management
- Must be willing to assist at other projects in and outside of the Perth Metro areas as required from time to time.
