Foodbank provides essential food and groceries to more than 1 million vulnerable Australians every year.

Each month Foodbank NSW & ACT provide 337,000 households with food and grocery assistance.

They work with regional and remote communities, schools, and organisations across NSW and ACT and work with the entire Australian food and grocery sector including farmers, wholesalers, manufacturers, and retailers who donate and redirect surplus product.

Despite Foodbank’s scale and capacity, they are currently only meeting half the need.

**About the role**

The General Manager of Fundraising and Marketing will have real autonomy to further develop the strategies for growth across both Fundraising and Marketing.

We are looking for an innovative, dynamic, and passionate leader with an appetite to trial and test, develop new channels, strengthen existing portfolios, and manage a high performing team.

With the investment and backing of your CEO and board, you will be empowered to develop a strategy that is focused on long term, sustainable revenue across all channels. With an already highly successful Fundraising programme across individual giving, community fundraising, philanthropy, and partnerships you will focus on the future development of the revenue portfolio and will develop initiatives and ideas to future proof the growth.

With oversight of both internal and external Marketing and Communication activity, you will build on both the brand awareness of the organisation and its incredible services, as well as develop marketing strategies to support Fundraising activity.

**Responsibilities**
- Execute and develop the Fundraising and Marketing strategy that will focus on innovation and continued growth of all channels (individual giving, community fundraising, philanthropy, partnerships)
- Continue the development of new funding streams and products
- Work collaboratively across the organisation to ensure that Marketing and Fundraising priorities align with the overall strategic plan
- Develop systems, processes, and frameworks to improve efficiencies across the portfolio
- Build on the continued CRM capability and design strategies to utilise the database for the development of the Fundraising programmes
- Work with external agencies to plan and implement Fundraising activity
- Lead on all Marketing activity across services and revenue generation
- Oversight of brand management and public relations, executing a new brand and content strategy
- Develop an effective digital strategy that will engage all audiences across the communities and donor base
- Work alongside the CEO to deliver reports to the Board on strategic progress
- Develop and manage the operational budget for the Marketing and Fundraising program
- Lead, inspire, motivate, and grow a high performing team across Fundraising and Marketing

**Skills and attributes**
- Proven successful development and management of a Fundraising strategy
- Demonstrated experience in senior Fundraising roles across broad channels with a background in one or more of the following areas; Individual Giving, Partnerships and Philanthropy
- Experience in setting and achieving revenue targets through a diverse range of funding channels
- A data led decision maker who can manage and develop CRMs
- An innovator with a passion for developing new Fundraising products and growing revenue channels
- Knowledge of Marketing and Communication tools and the ability to develop multi-channel marcomms strategies across both digital and traditional channels
