**Your New Role**

The Compliance Specialist is responsible for support, advisory, and delivery of compliance matters across major projects. This includes the provision of compliance support to project stakeholders and business owners throughout the lifecycle of various projects to identify impacted compliance obligations and develop and/or review appropriate risk mitigation strategies, activities, processes, documentation and controls to manage and mitigate inherent compliance risks. The role includes the review and development of key documents and ongoing compliance support and advice.

In this 12-month fixed term position, the Compliance Specialist will work closely the Compliance Manager to assist in the delivery of a program to support critical and highly prioritised projects for the Fund.

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Assist in the completion of delivered risk assessments as it relates to impacted compliance obligations and risks.
- Collaborate with legal, risk and governance colleagues as well as obligation owners, to ensure compliance risks are identified and will be appropriately managed upon delivery of the project.
- Work with project stakeholders to develop complaint and business appropriate solutions to manage compliance risks and issues.
- Review and/or design essential documentation required as part of the projects such as policies, standards, processes, procedures, or similar.
- Review any externally facing communications and collateral as it relates to the deliverables of the projects.
- Understand the needs and objectives of the stakeholders to facilitate constructive conversations and strong business outcomes.Understand the rationale and drivers for the Fund’s strategic projects to support sound judgement and risk-based decision making.

**What You’ll Need**
- Strong experience in a compliance and legal role within financial services.
- Comprehensive knowledge of superannuation laws and/or financial services laws (financial advice) and related regulatory requirements.
- Proven ability to work in cross-functional project teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent analytical, research, communication, and documentation skills.
- Experience with obligations management systems and risk assessment tools.
- Strong knowledge of risk and compliance frameworks.
- Critical thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High level of personal integrity as well as the ability to professionally handle confidential mattersAbility to develop and maintain high quality interpersonal relationships with stakeholders at all levels, both within and outside the Fund.
