DISABILITY SUPPORT WORKERS NEEDED FOR IMMEDIATE START

Hi I'm a 42 yr old female NDIS participant with a chronic neuro-degenerative condition. I'm urgently seeking 1-2 reliable, capable, calm-natured, personable new support workers, and am also looking to fill my key support worker position (which involves an additional admin and advocacy component).
- domestic support
- meal prep (must have minimum intermediate level cooking skills & be experienced in the kitchen)
- therapy assistance
- pet care
- admin tasks
- transport/community access (in support worker's vehicle - mileage paid)

**Location**: ASHGROVE 4060

**Shifts**: various times across all 7 days of the week, including overnights. Daytime shifts are 2-5hrs in length. Weekend and sleepover availability is necessary, please. The position is casual, but with a regular roster. Immediate start.

**Qualifications**: No previous support work experience necessary (full training provided), but empathy, some life experience, and an understanding of chronic illness is essential. Please bring a joyful spirit and a sense of fun Would especially suit university healthcare students (who would always be welcome to sit in on my allied health consultations). Prefer a female support worker, please. As I am immune-compromised, stringent infection control protocols must be adhered to.

**Pay rate**: $30/hr + pm/weekend loading (will be increased in the next ~1 week when the new SCHADS Award rates are released)

**Must**:

- be adaptable, and capable of carefully following instructions, working quickly & efficiently without supervision, using common sense, and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness
- have own reliable vehicle
- have Disability Worker Screening & current senior First Aid & CPR (or willingness to obtain both)
- be a non-smoker
- be willing not to wear anything fragranced when working with me
- be located within a 15-20 min travel radius of Ashgrove
- be able to commit to a minimum 12 months
- be fully vaccinated (as per government mandates) & follow strict Covid-safe protocols
- like cats
