**The Perfect Opportunity**
We are currently seeking an exceptional Development and Compliance (DAC) Section Manager to take the reins of our Development and Compliance Section. If you're passionate about driving success and fostering a dynamic, collaborative work environment, this is the perfect opportunity for you to shine.
Reporting directly to the Group Manager - Development Services, you'll play a critical role in the Development Services senior leadership group, providing clear direction for your employees in the DAC Section to gain a cohesive approach in the interpretation and implementation of Councils legal and policy planning and environmental management framework.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Engage positively with management and employees, provide clear directions and encourage a stimulating and enthusiastic work environment with a view to achieve Council's strategic planning vision.
- Be a principal contributor to the Development Services senior leadership team in setting direction and working toward the achievement of the Group's management plans.
- Prepare and/or review of processes and procedures in line with changes to the relevant policies and legislation governing planning, building, compliance, and environmental health.
- Develop and maintain positive internal and external working relationships to enable the effective and collaborative approaches to the functional responsibilities of development assessment, building assessment, business support, major projects, environmental law, policy and compliance, and environmental health management.
