The Workplace Relations function contributes to industrial harmony and equity in the workplace by providing strategic advice to supervisors and managers on the interpretation of Awards and industrial and employee Agreements, as well as policy information, advice, and assistance with all industrial and workplace relations issues.

**The key focus of this role will be to**:

- Provision of Workplace Relations related advice to stakeholders within allocated region and as requested.
- Provide advice and interpretation on legislation, Modern Award’s, Enterprise Agreements, employment terms and conditions and other employment regulations.
- Provide advice and interpretation of Workplace Relations and Human Resources polices, process and procedures.
- Support Opal business units to ensure compliance with industrial instruments, legislation and other employment related regulations as applicable.
- Guide and support escalated complex WR cases, misconduct, non-work-related injury management/RTW and Investigations as required.
- Support the development and delivery of Workplace Relations related education sessions and upskilling.

Specifically for this role, we expect you will have;
- Tertiary qualification in Business Human Resource Management, Employment Law or a related discipline (Desirable)
- Conciliation and mediation experience or certificate in alternative dispute resolution (Desired but not essential)
- Demonstrated experience managing WR cases and conducting investigations within a complex organisation.
- Experience in development of WR related policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Experience in interpreting and working with Enterprise Agreements and Modern Awards is mandatory.
- An ability to help drive continuous business improvement.
