**Role Details**: The SASI Wheelchair Basketball and Wheelchair Skills Coach operates as a member of the SASI Para Unit, working within a team of coaches and Performance Support professionals with the collective goal of recruiting and developing talented South Australian para-sport athletes. The SASI Wheelchair Basketball and Wheelchair Skills Coach will contribute to the outcome of increasing the number of categorised para-athletes in South Australia through guiding and delivering wheelchair-based activities and chair use skill development in line with the SASI Para Unit. It is SASI’s vision that this will support greater representation and medal success at the LA 2028 and Brisbane 2032 Paralympic Games. This role will also lead the coordination and delivery of the technical, tactical, and physical components of the SASI Wheelchair Basketball program. The position will play a key role in the program delivery to foster the highest quality of athlete development and performance in line with SASI, Basketball South Australia and Basketball Australia high performance standards and values. The position will play a crucial role in supporting SASI’s mission to develop complete athletes, who excel both in sport and in life, and assist them to reach their full potential.

**Special Conditions**:

- The Incumbent will be required to participate in the department's Performance Management Program.
- The Incumbent may be assigned to another position at this remuneration level or equivalent.
- Some work outside of normal hours will be required.
- Some interstate travel involving overnight absences will be required.
- This role requires a working with children check.

**Essential Qualifications**
- Qualifications in coaching, ideally with experience in coaching basketball or wheelchair basketball.
- Advanced understanding of high-performance para-sport, with a focus on wheelchair sports.
