**About the Agency**

The Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing (ORSR) is the lead agency for the Government's policy on sport and active recreation. ORSR is responsible for State Government policy and legislation as it relates to the sector, its key programs, sport and recreation infrastructure and funding programs. The ORSR supports sport and recreation organisations, Councils, and the community through the development of policy, programs and resources, the provision of funding, recreation and sport planning, infrastructure development, elite sport pathways and programs, and the promotion of physical activity.

The South Australian Sports Institute (SASI) is the High Performance Sports hub in South Australia. Its purpose is empowering people to achieve their sporting dreams and inspiring South Australians. SASI does this by:

**Role Highlights**
- Work with high performance athletes and coaches to optimise physical performance
- Key member of multi-disciplinary team servicing a range of different para-sports
- Based at SASI’s new state-of-the-art high performance sport facility at Mile End

**Role Details**

The Para-Sport Physical Preparation Coach is responsible for supporting the SASI Physical Preparation Unit to deliver world class technical expertise in strength and conditioning to SASI athletes and programs with a focus on para-athletes and para-sports. Working collaboratively as part of the SASI Para Unit, this coach will provide expert advice and leadership in relation to the physical preparation of para-athletes. This position will be responsible for designing implementing and delivering strength and conditioning programs to athletes to effectively optimise the achievement of performance outcomes as a member of an integrated inter-disciplinary performance team.

**Special Conditions**
- The Incumbent will be required to participate in the agency's Performance Management Program.
- The Incumbent may be assigned to another position at this remuneration level or equivalent.
- Some work outside of normal hours will be required.
- Some interstate travel involving overnight absences will be required.
- This role requires a working with children check.

**Classification**

**Salary Range**

$88,255 - $97,667 p.a.
