The role will involve assisting with personal care tasks, meal preparation and other daily living skills, and support to access the community to attend Allied Health appointments and other planned activities. A valid licence, registered vehicle, and comprehensive insurance is required. Our Client also uses a wheelchair, so experience with manual handling and a good understanding of powerchairs and manual wheelchairs is required.

We are looking for a Disability Support Worker who can assist with supporting him during the week **from 6:45am to 4:45pm** & Saturday's **8:00am to 10:00am**and Sunday's **8:30am to 10:30am** with the potential to pick up additional shifts.

You will have support in your role via a comprehensive care plan and support from our awesome Support Specialist team. 

**Your key responsibilities & accountabilities**:

- To deliver high quality support to our Participants in the capacity they require, the exact way they would like it delivered. 
- Communicate effectively and collaborate for our Participants' needs with our Participants, team & Support Specialist.
- Understand, follow instructions, and be responsive to our Participants needs. - Provide support to our Participants as required.
- Have good rapport building skills and a gentle, encouraging manner.
- Be reliable and flexible to fill shifts when required.
- Have an interest in building a respectful relationship with our Participants.
- To support our Participants to achieve their NDIS Goals.

To be successful you must

- Have evidence of eligibility and right to work in Australia
- Hold or be willing to obtain NDIS worker screening or yellow card
- Hold or be willing to obtain a blue card
