**Your role**

Youth Justice, New South Wales (YJNSW) is in a period of significant reform, and is committed to

delivering improved services. We will continue to adapt our service system to better meet the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, families, and communities, in accordance with Closing the Gap, Target 11 and the Closing the Gap priority reforms.

Our commitment includes working towards an anti-racist workforce which is based on the principles of cultural humility and respect.

Working with the Practice and Implementation team to assist in the development of new programs, initiatives, and projects with a focus on the implementation and operationalisation phases of the work.

**What you’ll do**
- Develop and manage a range of co-designed evidence-based initiatives and projects aimed at promoting change and improving the lives of justice affected young people, their families and communities with a particular focus on the implementation and operationalisation.
- Manage continuous improvement of service delivery by division staff and commissioned services to develop staff skills and capabilities increasing their confidence and awareness of the needs of young people in line with best known practices and strategic direction.
- Design robust evaluation methodologies and undertake analysis and provide guidance to staff in the delivery of evidence-based interventions.
- Coordinate the work activity of a virtual team, primarily SPOs and APOs to ensure the effective design, development and delivery of coaching programs and materials.
- Provide high level advice and support to regional staff and managers to meet service delivery outcomes and ensure consistent service delivery.
- Seek out and maintain key internal and external stakeholders, particularly with Aboriginal staff and community to ensure relationships are based on open and regular discussions and feedback for effective engagement, planning, co-design and implementation.
- Provide advice and solutions to senior management as they seek to identify skill / performance gaps and seek to ensure that the required capabilities and ongoing development needs of their staff are available and delivered in a quality, cost effective manner.

**What we’re looking for**
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience.
- Current NSW drivers’ licence
- NSW Working with Children Check for paid employment.
- Willingness to travel in metro and regional areas.
- National Criminal History Record Check in accordance with the Disability Inclusion Act 2014

Strong working knowledge and skill around issues facing justice-affected young people and assessments and interventions to promote change within individuals, their families, and communities.
