**About the Role**:
As a Disability Support Worker in our Supported Independent Living Services at Sandery Avenue, you will be working with a group of clients within a tight knit and supportive team. The team promotes person centredness and has a genuine desire to encourage social inclusion for the participants that we support. Rosters are two week rotating split shifts - so a great lifestyle alternative.
**In this Role you will be responsible for**:
- Engaging person-centred active support in areas such as emotional behaviour, education, cooking and domestic duties
- Planning and executing activities for the participants
- Ensure the effective communication is maintained at all times with all stakeholders
- Adapt service delivery and support as appropriate to meet participant needs and preferences
- Encouraging clients to make choices and decisions about all aspects of their life
- Work collaboratively with others to ensure a consistent approach to service delivery, which empowers participants to be involved in decision making and choice
- Energetic, positive, and creative personality
- Able to commit to a 7 day rotating roster, morning and afternoons with split shifts
- Experience supporting people with disability utilising a professional and empathetic approach
- Possesses a good understanding of the NDIS Framework
- Experience with stakeholder communication
- Experience with medication administration
- Experienced in completion of documentation
**Skills and Qualifications Required**
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or Valid DHS Disability Screening)
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- Current Driver's Licence
- Unrestricted Working Rights
- COVID vaccinations (2+ booster)
