Join our Safety team within the Services division in Australia as Head of Quality, Environment, Health & Safety (QESH) Australia, to help us take Sulzer to the next level. This role can be based in Sydney or Brisbane, with flexibility to work from home. As a national role, frequent travel will be required.

**Lead and Inspire**: Spearhead safety initiatives for or Australian operations.
**Continuous Improvement**: Drive a culture of excellence by championing continuous improvement initiatives and fostering a proactive safety mindset.
**Collaborative Influence**: Collaborate cross-functionally to embed safety principles into every aspect of our operations, from the ground up.
**Team Empowerment**: Inspire and empower a high-performing safety team, fostering professional development and a commitment to our safety-first culture.

**What you will be doing day to day?**
**As a leader in our business, you will be accountable for**:

- Leading a team of 3 passionate and dynamic safety professionals across Australia.
- Fostering a culture of Safety First and always ensure the highest regard for Health and Safety of self and our people.
- Managing QESH Strategy development & Implementation, Global Rollouts, QESH process and culture.
- Leading, managing and mentoring QESH Representatives and Service Centre Managers to uplift capability.
- Providing assurance by Audits and support in complex issues by advising key leaders and service centre teams.
- Managing the legal risk related to QESH in Australia.

- Previous experience at a similar level within a related industry.
- Strong people leadership and team development abilities.
- Excellent coaching and communication skills.
- Expert knowledge of contemporary safety issues and best practices, along with a deep understanding of statutory and regulatory framework governing safety.
- Experience in implementing change across an organisation
