**The role**

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, an exciting opportunity has risen for a Maintenance Officer.

**The successful applicant will have the following attributes**:

- Trade qualification (desirable)
- Current driver's license
- A current Police Check is essential (less than 12 months old)
- Experience as a Maintenance Person in Aged Care or similar industry (desirable)
- Excellent written and verbal communication with interpersonal skills to interact with a wide range of people
- Ability to work under minimum supervision
- Sensitivity to the needs of the elderly in a residential care setting
- Assist in general maintenance tasks to ensure the Aged Care facility and independent living units are well kept and maintained.
- Ability to establish and maintain professional and appropriate relationship with residents and/or families/representatives
- Able to provide evidence of COVID-19 and booster & influenza vaccinations
- Support in carrying out repairs, general maintenance
- General rubbish removal, clean up and bin collection.
- A warm and outgoing personality.
- A positive ‘can-do’ attitude and provide outstanding customer service to residents.
- Excellent communication skills with residents, their family members and staff
- Availability to work a full time Monday to Friday
