As a Procurement Specialist you will play a crucial role in optimising our supply chain operations. You will be responsible for managing customer orders and requirements to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services. Your attention to detail, analytical skills and ability to collaborate with our customer will be key to your success in this role.

**Job Description**:
At Toll, we move the businesses that moves the world. Our Government & Defence 4PL Services business focusses on providing end-to-end supply chain management of commodity products and relocation services to the Australian Defence Force.

The purpose of the position of Procurement Specialist is to be an embedded resource with our customer to process procurement activities of commodity products on their behalf. In addition, they will be our customer’s initial point of contact for any delayed deliveries as well as looking for continuous improvement opportunities in the end-to-end procure-to-pay process. They will also provide inputs into formulation of category, supplier management, and customer strategies.

As a Procurement Specialist you will be responsible for:

- Creating Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders as directed and in compliance with all Commonwealth of Australia procurement policies
- Providing updates on the delivery of procurement activities to various internal and external stakeholders
- Providing regular reporting as required by the customer and distribute to their internal stakeholders as required
- Identifying and implementing Procurement improvement initiatives (e.g. process improvements and tools implementation)
- Providing support to the customer for any internal audit activities
- Preparing quarterly performance reports and attending quarterly performance reviews with the customer
- Engaging with sourcing and category management in the shortlisting/selection of preferred suppliers
- Identifying improvements and opportunities to improve Toll’s service levels to the customer

**Qualifications**:
**To be successful in this role, you will need**:

- Current Commonwealth Baseline Security clearance would be a great advantage
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Supply Chain or Procurement
- Good understanding of contract management and supplier management
- A good understanding of internal controls, governance routines and key risk factors, preferably for Government clients
- Power BI and/or MILIS experience is highly desirable
- Competency in managing competing priorities in a calm, efficient and effective way
- Proven experience of commercial work history with experience of delivering savings in complex work environments
- Ability to establish and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, at all levels
- Sound understanding of how to overcome the barriers to achieving significant change that can result from a new procurement approach e.g. new procurement processes, outsourcing of service functions etc.
