Having exclusively partnered with a leader in the manufacturing and installation of commercial office fit-out sector, across the retail, commercial and hospitality environment, we are excited to represent our growing client. Their team are seeking a motivated and communicative Procurement Specialist to join operations in Melbourne’s South-East suburbs.

In this role, you will be supporting the company manufacturing and stakeholders to provide the best procurement practices and activities across the business. You will be providing solutions, drive innovation, realise opportunities, and solve problems across procurement. A core responsibility of your role includes liaise with suppliers, sourcing new suppliers, procure raw material, control inventory, and provide business procurement best practice solutions. Your extensive knowledge within wood, glass, metal, or plastic manufacturing or within the construction and fit-out industry will support you in executing the following responsibilities:

- Plan and manage the purchase and distribution of materials and resources base on company manufacture or project needs
- Maintain accurate records of international supplier information and importation documentation in accordance to company procedures
- Develop and maintain existing relationships with local and overseas Suppliers, Source new suppliers or competitive pricing where relevant
- Ensure orders are delivered in a timely manner, and when necessary, follow up with Supplier for outstanding Purchase Orders
- Liaise with Accounts Department with any pricing and order discrepancies as required
- Managing internal stakeholders needs in regarding procurement activities
- Translation of drawings and communication with suppliers daily to ensure accurate manufacturing of goods
- Inventory control and planning
- Develop and run analysis for procurement activities supporting development of Procurement and Category Plans.

**About You**:

- At least 5+ years of experience working across procurement roles within the manufacturing or construction companies
- Desirable experience working in the fit-outs industry and managing projects
- Experience managing wood, glass, metal and plastics categories
- Comfortable working autonomously and in a team environment
- Experience with end-to-end of procurement function, planning and inventory control
- Strong communication and relationship building skills
