**About the Role**
An opportunity exists for a motivated and experienced Bushland Maintenance Coordinator to join our Vegetation Team to lead, manage, coordinate, and supervise the Operations team activities. This includes, developing and managing operational plans, business systems, procedures, scheduling, monitoring performance outcomes.
**What you will be doing**:
- Lead, manage, coordinate and supervise a Bushland maintenance team including all operational activities carried out by the team
- Undertake recruitment processes for the employment of operational staff or agency hire/contract staff
- Undertake required staff management administrative tasks, including time sheet data entry/approvals, and performance assessment and training administrative processes
- Prepare and administer team rosters and arrange relief staff to cover staff leave and/or to resource any reactive, afterhours or emergency operational activities
- Provide afterhours emergency support on a rotational roster
- Ensure that operational activities deliver required service levels and are efficient and effective and in accordance with current maintenance activity specifications, Australian Standards and legislative requirements
- Maintain and administer business systems to plan, schedule, monitor and record operational activities to meet established performance standards and outcomes
- Undertake procurement activities, including seeking quotations and tenders for any outsourced services including preparation of technical specifications, report writing, contract management duties in accordance with Council’s Procurement Guidelines
- Undertake the delivery of maintenance works within budget allocation
**About you**:
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Diploma or Tertiary qualification in related discipline
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar position with significant practical experience in bushland maintenance
- Chemical Safety - AQF3 & AQF4 Accreditation
- NSW Drivers Licence (Class C)
- Traffic Controller and Implement Traffic Control Plans
- White Card - General Construction Induction Licence
- Working with Children Check
**Position details**:
Permanent full-time role on a nine-day fortnight, W0192 Salary: starting from $100K + Superannuation + Council Leaseback Vehicle.
