**About the Role**
This position leads Council’s Waste Services Team which includes a variety of tasks associated with the collection of waste and cleaning of public spaces and facilities. This role involves early starts and a rotational Sunday shift.

**What you will be doing**:

- Allocate resources to the team to carry out tasks associated with the collection of waste from public spaces and facilities, including cleansing of these areas.
- Complete planned and reactive tasks including the collection of waste, dumped rubbish, dead animals, cleaning and pressure washing of council’s infrastructure assets.
- Assist with the coordination and supervision of contractors if required.
- Leadership of team including completion and/or approvals of required documents, timesheets/leave requests, WHS checklists, customer and works requests.
- Drive and operate plant and equipment including daily maintenance checks and reporting of issues.
- Remove and dispose of general litter and hazardous objects/materials.
- Ensure compliance with National Heavy Vehicle Law and Chain of Responsibility requirements.
- Maintain work vehicles and all equipment in a clean and hygienic condition.
- Assist in the review of guidelines and procedures including the identification of efficiencies within Council’s maintenance activities.

**About you**:
To be successful in this role you will have:

- Drivers Licence (Class MR or HR) - NSW
- White Card - General Construction Induction
- Certificate IV or Diploma in Civil Maintenance or a related field
- Greater than 5 years of experience in a similar role

**Position details**:
Permanent full-time role on a nine-day fortnight, W0054 Salary: Up to $77K + Superannuation + To and From Council Work Vehicle
