Our Program Advisory business advises our client's on how to set-up, transform, optimise, and operate major programs across the infrastructure and natural resource sectors. The business unit is an integral part of Turner & Townsend's core global business and an important part of our future strategic business growth plan.
This is a senior client-facing role. You will build and maintain high-quality relationships with key clients in our target markets. You will play a key role in building our team’s capability and culture. A significant amount of your time will be spent leading consulting/advisory assignments for clients.
You will excel in your role as a key contributor and leader in multi-disciplinary advisory teams. Your deep knowledge and experience in digital, data, systems and technology will be critical to the success of our work.
Specific role responsibilities are set out below.
Being a key contributor and leader in exciting and challenging commissions that improve the way an organisation sets-up, transforms, optimises, and operates major programs and projects.
- Providing best-practice advice and hands-on help to our clients in relation to digital, data, systems and technology at the enterprise, portfolio, program and project level.
- Being an active and empathetic leader of integrated advisory teams, taking ownership of commissions from start to finish, and directing and coaching our consulting staff.
- Leading the definition and development of tools and techniques that support our service delivery.
- Making a material contribution to business development and practice development.
- Creating a collaborative and supportive team environment.
**Qualifications**:
- Significant experience in providing value-adding advice and hands-on help in the areas of digital, data, systems and technology in infrastructure or natural resources
- Excellent people management skills including team creation and management, work planning and delegation, performance assessment and coaching.
- Excellent client engagement and senior stakeholder management skills.
- 6 to 8 years’ experience in a similar consulting role OR
7 to 9 years’ experience in a relevant role in the infrastructure, natural resources or construction sectors.
- Bachelor degree or other recognised professional qualification in one of the following fields: management consulting, business management, data management, IT/ICT, engineering, construction, project management or project controls.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
The following are beneficial but are not mandatory:
- Experience in: rail, aviation, power & utilities, renewables, mining, oil & gas or defence.
The role is based in Sydney; business travel outside of Sydney will be required.
